2MLF-DC8A is Honeywell’s standard high-density 8-channel analog current output module for MasterLogic-200 PLC, used to deliver modulating 4–20mA control signals to field final control elements: control valves, HART smart positioners, damper actuators, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) in chemical, petrochemical, power, water treatment and building automation systems.
It converts digital setpoint values calculated by the PLC CPU into stable analog current loops for closed-loop PID regulation. Each channel can be independently set to 4–20mA or 0–20mA mode via SoftMaster, with built-in digital filtering to smooth output fluctuation and suppress field electromagnetic noise from motors and inverters.
Optocoupler isolation completely separates field surge and ground loop interference to protect the PLC mainframe backplane bus. Hot-swap design allows online module replacement without full rack shutdown, reducing unplanned production downtime.
